Personal review of test results
Sweden's most reliable water analysis
Check your water quality
To ensure that the water sample is correct and that the results are reliable, it is crucial to carefully follow the enclosed instructions. A well-executed sample provides fair and accurate results, which is important for making correct assessments and decisions. Sampling from your well requires accuracy and methodical preparation – every step is vital to avoid contamination and ensure that the sample truly represents the water quality.
By following these instructions carefully, you will get a sample that the laboratory can analyze correctly, giving you an accurate picture of your water's quality and any necessary actions.

When you order your analysis package, you will receive a complete kit containing sample bottles for all analyses, cool packs for transport, clear instructions, a sampling form, labels for marking, and a prepaid shipping label. Everything you need is included in the package.
Place the cool packs in the freezer at least 24 hours before sampling. They must be completely frozen when you take the sample. This is important to keep the sample cool during transport to the laboratory.
Always take the sample from a cold water tap in the kitchen that is directly connected to the main line. Avoid taps with filters, mixers, or taps that are rarely used. Preferably choose a tap that is used daily.
First, clean the tap thoroughly, inside and out, with running water. Wipe the outside with a clean cloth. Then let cold water run for 2-3 minutes before sampling. The water should be completely cold. This ensures you are sampling water from the well, not water that has been standing in the pipes. Flushing provides a representative sample.
Carefully open the sample bottles without touching the inside of the cap or the neck of the bottle. Fill the bottles according to the instructions included in your kit. Close the bottles immediately after filling. Be careful not to contaminate the sample.
For microbiological samples: If your analysis package includes microbiological analysis: Flame the tap with a lighter or match for 10-15 seconds before filling the sterile bottle. Let it cool for a few seconds, open the water again, and fill the bottle without touching the inside.
For radon samples: The radon bottle MUST be filled completely without air! There should be surface tension at the top of the bottle when you screw on the cap. If there is air in the bottle, the sample cannot be analyzed. Fill the bottle underwater to avoid air bubbles.
Fill in the labels with your name, date, and sample number. Attach the labels to the bottles. Also, fill in the accompanying sampling form. Clear labeling is important to ensure correct handling at the laboratory.
Pack the sample bottles together with the frozen cool packs in the included packaging. The sample must be kept cool throughout transport to the laboratory. Send the sample as soon as possible after sampling, preferably on the same day.
